Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked WPS PIN copy
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A800R 4.1.2cu.5137_B20200730 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt process memory. The setWiFiWpsConfig function in wps.so passes the request-controlled pin value to strncpy without validating its length against the destination stack buffer. The published request requires a valid management session and demonstrates the overflow path, but it does not demonstrate reliable code execution.
