Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked url copy
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A800R 4.1.2cu.5137_B20200730 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via HTTP. The setUrlFilterRules function in firewall.so passes the request url value to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing a stack buffer. A valid SESSION_ID cookie is required; the published proof of concept supplies a trigger, but does not establish arbitrary code execution or exploitation in the wild.
