Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded devName formatting
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda AC1206 15.03.06.23_multi_TD01 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt httpd memory via devName. The set_device_name function passes devName to sprintf, which writes the value plus a suffix into the 256-byte stack buffer mib_vlaue without a length check. A valid low-privilege web session and network access to SetOnlineDevName are required; successful exploitation can crash httpd or alter its control flow.
