Unauthenticated video access via language-dependent defaults
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Missing authentication in RTSP and ONVIF on Tenda smart cameras through 20260625 allows remote attackers to view live video streams. In affected firmware, Kylin's Simplified Chinese initialization sets RTSPSecurity and OnvifSecurity to 0 instead of requiring credentials. Network access is sufficient; unauthenticated users can read the RTSP stream and invoke supported ONVIF discovery, management, or PTZ functions.
