Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized ATE input
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
OS command injection in Tenda smart camera firmware through 20260625 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via UDP port 7320. CAte::HandleCmd inserts attacker-controlled JSON fields into snprintf-built shell strings, which ATE_SetCmd executes through popen without sanitization. Network access alone is sufficient because the ATE handler performs no authentication, token verification, or source-address restriction.
