User redirection via unchecked submit-url parameter
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
Open redirect in Edimax BR-6258n through 1.18 allows remote authenticated users to redirect web-interface users via submit-url. The formStaDrvSetup handler at /goform/formStaDrvSetup accepts the submit-url parameter and uses its untrusted value as a redirect target without restricting the destination. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction; the bounded consequence is navigation to an attacker-selected site rather than control of the router.
