Service interruption via unbounded animation quantities
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Improper quantity validation in Samsung Open Source rlottie allows remote attackers to interrupt service through crafted Lottie JSON. Repeater copy and polystar point counts lacked finite, positive upper bounds, while precomp traversal lacked depth and node limits. Exploitation requires a user or application to load and render the crafted animation; the reported consequence is availability loss only.
