Credential disclosure via Management GUI logging
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Sensitive-data exposure in IBM Storage Scale 5.2.3.0 through 5.2.3.8 and 6.0.0.0 through 6.0.1.0 allows local users to read secrets. The Management GUI writes the administrator password used by Systems Deploy and Upgrade into its GUI log and also records secrets in exception details. A low-privileged local user must be able to read the affected logs; exposure can disclose administrative credentials and permit their misuse.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
