Denial of service via incomplete temporary-file cleanup
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Denial of service in Fastify @fastify/multipart 3.0.0 through 10.1.0 allows remote attackers to exhaust disk space via aborted multipart uploads. The saveRequestFiles() async iterator rejects between parts outside per-file cleanup, leaving a completed temporary file instead of unlinking it. Reachability requires a multipart route that accepts multiple parts and calls request.saveRequestFiles(); repeated unauthenticated requests cause persistent, linear disk consumption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
