Administrator-level network backup disclosure via deferred authorization check
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Incorrect authorization in JetBackup for WordPress before 3.1.23.5 allows remote authenticated users to download network-wide backups. The archive and job-log download handlers serve files before running the WordPress Multisite Super Admin authorization check. Exploitation requires a multisite deployment and administrator access to the network's main site, exposing every site's data and the shared webroot.
