CVE-2026-19387Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Memory corruption via unchecked ADPCM sample count

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in GStreamer's adpcmdec element on Red Hat Enterprise Linux allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted WAV file. The decoder accepts a multi-channel IMA/DVI ADPCM block whose declared sample count exceeds the output allocation, then writes decoded samples past that heap buffer. The target must process the untrusted file; exploitation can crash the consuming application or corrupt memory in its security context.
