Path traversal in Handwriting OCR MCP Server 0.1.0 allows local users to disclose process-readable files through upload_document. The handler passes the caller-controlled file string directly to fs.readFileSync without canonicalization or an allowed-root check, then adds the bytes to an OCR API request. Exploitation requires access to invoke the local MCP server and exposes only files readable by its process; the handler does not write local files.
