Remote code execution via module cache injection
Published Aug 9, 2026 · Updated Aug 9, 2026
Code injection in the Installation Wizard in DedeCMS 5.7.118 UTF8SP2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The _4_Setup function joins attacker-controlled modules[] values into modules.tmp.inc, which module-install.php later includes and evaluates as PHP. Exploitation requires an accessible installer without install_lock.txt and successful database setup; resulting code runs with the web-server process's privileges.
