Internal service response disclosure via unvalidated URL
Published Aug 9, 2026 · Updated Aug 9, 2026
SSRF in Allan Denot mcp-google-search 0.3.0 and 0.3.1 allows local users to read internal HTTP responses via read_webpage. The handler passes the caller-controlled url argument directly to axios.get without blocking private, loopback, link-local, or redirect destinations. The caller must be able to invoke the local MCP tool, and the server must be able to reach the targeted internal service; returned content is exposed through the tool response.
