Authenticated command execution via flow type evaluation
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Eval injection in IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating system commands. The create_input_schema_from_dict function passes an attacker-controlled flow template type string into Pydantic ForwardRef evaluation, where eval() runs with unrestricted builtins. A user able to save a crafted flow and build a wrapper flow gains the Langflow server process identity even when LANGFLOW_ALLOW_CUSTOM_COMPONENTS=false.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
