Local command execution via unescaped commit hash
Published Aug 8, 2026 · Updated Aug 8, 2026
Command injection in LLM Memory MCP Server at commit f11dc8bcff3ff8cf943a2945f99ff3b0bdc8a6d0 allows local users to run OS commands. The auto.capture action passes its caller-controlled hash to GitHooksManager.getCommitInfo, which interpolates it into three execSync git show shell strings without validation or escaping. Exploitation requires an initialized Git repository and access to invoke the local MCP tool; injected commands run with the server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
