Site-admin network-wide code execution via unrestricted setting
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Code injection in WPMU DEV Defender Security before 6.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code across a multisite network. The Hub Connector accepts a network-wide setting from a single-site administrator without restricting the change to a network administrator. Exploitation requires administrator access to one site in a WordPress multisite deployment and extends code execution across the network.
