Administrator account creation via registration role bypass
Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 22, 2026
Privilege escalation in WPMU DEV Forminator Forms before 1.57.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to create administrator accounts. The registration-form role control inconsistently enforces its restriction and accepts administrator as the role assigned to new registrants. An account permitted to build forms must first configure the registration form; each visitor registering through it then receives site administration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
