Unauthenticated site creation via unchecked registration policy
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Privilege escalation in WPMU DEV Forminator Forms before 1.57.1 allows remote attackers to create a multisite site with administrator access. The registration-form submission path queues a site signup without checking whether the network permits site creation. Exploitation requires WordPress multisite, user-account registration, a published User Registration template with site registration enabled, and email activation or administrator approval; the new account has no role on existing sites.
