CVE-2026-19190Public exploit

Local SYSTEM execution via unsafe remoting deserialization

Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026

Unsafe deserialization in StableBit Scanner 2.6.13.4088 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM through ScannerService. The LocalSystem service exposes the Scanner2_Comm .NET Remoting pipe to standard users and BinaryFormatter-deserializes the object TaskState argument to Comm1.StartTask. A standard Windows account with local logon access can supply a gadget object and gain complete control of the host without administrator rights.
