Sandbox escape via Aura use-after-free
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Use after free in Aura in Google Chrome before 151.0.7922.109 allows remote attackers to escape the Linux sandbox via crafted HTML. Aura accesses freed memory, but Google has not published the affected object, code path, or lifetime error while bug details remain restricted. Exploitation requires user interaction with crafted HTML and prior renderer-process compromise; success crosses the sandbox boundary and can affect the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
