Sandbox escape via CrashReporting heap overflow
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Heap buffer overflow in CrashReporting in Google Chrome before 151.0.7922.109 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. The component performs an out-of-bounds heap access, but Google has not disclosed the affected function or faulty bounds operation. Exploitation requires interaction with the page and prior compromise of the renderer process, after which Chrome's sandbox trust boundary can be crossed.
