Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode prefix
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Stored XSS in Gallagher Website Design 2.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a shortcode. The login_link shortcode emits the attacker-controlled prefix attribute into generated anchor output without sufficient input sanitization or contextual output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload in a page, and the script executes in each visitor's browser, enabling actions within that visitor's session.
