Account takeover via unauthorized FIDO2 credential registration
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Authentication bypass in Delinea Secret Server On-Premises allows remote attackers to assume a target user's identity through FIDO2. The FIDO2 credential-registration flow accepts an attacker-controlled credential for a target account, which the attacker then uses to authenticate as that user. The request is network-reachable without prior privileges or user interaction, but Delinea has not disclosed the specific conditions that permit unauthorized credential binding.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.6.0 <=11.7.61
- Affected versionversion=11.8.0 <=11.8.1
- Affected versionversion=11.9.0 <=11.9.47
- Affected versionversion=12.0.0 <=12.0.22
