Local file disclosure via unchecked guide path
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Path traversal in NocteDefensor LudusMCP 1.0.24 and earlier allows local users to read files via a crafted guide_name value. The handleReadGuide function joins guide_name to the guides directory and passes the unchecked path to fs.readFile without confirming containment. A caller with low privileges and access to the local MCP tool can read any text file permitted to the server process.
