Local command execution via unescaped dialog description
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Command injection in NocteDefensor LudusMCP 1.0.0 through 1.0.24 allows local users to execute commands via a crafted description. The get_credential_from_user handler passes description to SecretDialog, whose macOS, Linux GUI, and Windows fallback paths interpolate it into strings executed by execSync without context-appropriate escaping. Access to invoke the local MCP tool is required, and injected commands run with the LudusMCP process user's privileges.
