Authenticated command execution via unsanitized ppp_custom
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
OS command injection in Shibby Tomato 1.28.0000 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through ppp_custom. The sub_40F88C function in /tmp/ppp/wanoptions incorporates ppp_custom into an OS command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Administrative privileges are required, and successful exploitation yields command execution on the router without user interaction.
