Stack-based buffer overflow in MongoDB BI Connector ODBC Driver before 1.4.9 allows local users to execute code via an oversized DSN path. The Windows setup dialog calculates insufficient buffer capacity for file and folder selection fields, allowing an over-length path setting to drive an out-of-bounds write. Triggering the write requires a user to open the crafted data source and initiate file or folder selection; the outcome is a process crash or, under certain build configurations, unintended code execution in that user's context.
