Unauthenticated management metadata disclosure in shared mode
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Missing authentication in LettaBot 0.2.0 allows remote attackers to read management metadata through shared-mode API routes. In src/api/server.ts, GET /api/v1/status and GET /api/v1/pairing/:channel skip API-key validation when getPortalMode() returns shared, exposing agent, conversation, channel, service, and pending-pairing data. The HTTP API must be network-reachable and shared conversation mode active; the disclosed consequence is unauthenticated metadata and pairing-code disclosure.
