Authenticated arbitrary field modification via missing access checks
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Drupal Edit in-place field before 2.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to modify arbitrary entity fields. The entity-editing path fails to enforce access for the target entity and field before saving attacker-selected values. Any account holding the module's editing permission can overwrite fields on entities it otherwise cannot edit.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
