Privilege escalation in Red Hat OpenShift AI allows remote authenticated users with namespace edit access to execute code on cluster hosts. The training operator aggregates training-job creation into Kubernetes edit and admin ClusterRoles and passes PodTemplateSpec fields without restricting service accounts, hostPath mounts, or privileged security contexts. Any namespace editor can therefore impersonate service accounts, read or write host files, and run code with host-level privileges.
