Cross-album file upload via unchecked album target
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in WP Photo Album Plus before 9.2.09.002 allows remote authenticated users to upload files into another user's album. The front-end upload handler accepts the user-controlled wppa-upload-album target without verifying that the uploader owns or may access that album. Subscriber access is sufficient, but the non-default front-end user upload feature must be enabled; successful exploitation adds attacker-supplied media to another user's or an administrator's album.
