Account block bypass via application passwords
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Improper authentication in Dango Web Block User Account before 2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to retain REST API access. The plugin enforces blocked status for normal password login but omits the application-password authentication path, so existing application passwords remain valid. A blocked account must already hold an application password; access remains bounded by that account's role and permits REST API reads and writes.
