Authenticated cross-board checklist access via unbound identifiers
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Improper authorization in WeKan 8.0 through 8.20 allows remote authenticated users to read, create, modify, or delete checklist items. The REST handlers check access to the board named in the URL but fail to bind the supplied item, card, and checklist identifiers to that board. Access to any board is sufficient to operate on checklist data from another board when its object identifiers are known.
