Admin-level code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WP-DownloadManager before 1.69 allows remote authenticated users with admin privileges to execute PHP code. The download-add.php handler accepts uploaded files without extension or MIME validation and concatenates an unsanitized destination subpath. The manage_downloads capability is required; exploitation places attacker-controlled PHP in a web-served content path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
