Authenticated arbitrary file upload via unchecked profile-image type
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in imranrisal-dev Student Management System allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary server files. student_profile_pic.php reads the original name from choose_file, appends it to asset/upload, and calls move_uploaded_file without validating type or extension. A valid low-privilege session reaches the helper; server-side code execution requires the web server to execute uploaded PHP files.
