Unauthenticated host-server interruption via malformed requests
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in IBM operating system releases 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt a host server with malformed requests. A host server improperly validates client data before an out-of-bounds write, but IBM does not identify the affected process or parsing routine. No authentication or user interaction is required; IBM describes denial of service for the targeted server without specifying a crash, hang, or reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
