Deactivated-user token issuance via missing activity filter
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Improper authorization in Baserow 2.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain tokens for deactivated users. The BaserowImpersonateAuthTokenSerializer user query excludes superusers and staff but fails to exclude inactive accounts before the admin endpoint issues an impersonation token. Instance-administrator privileges are required, and the maintainer states that the resulting token cannot access any endpoint, leaving the claimed security impact disputed.
