Authenticated 2FA identity misbinding via request-body email
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Improper authentication in Baserow 2.3.0 through 2.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to misbind 2FA verification to another identity. The verify function in backend/src/baserow/api/two_factor_auth/views.py resolves the account from a request-body email instead of the identity carried by the partial-login token. Exploitation requires a valid 2FA-stage token and a chosen email, and public sources do not demonstrate account takeover or broader access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
