Authenticated root command execution via shell eval
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
OS command injection in H3C Magic NX15 Wireless Router V100R017 allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands via /api/esps. The esps.ipv6.wan set handler places workMode in an unquoted shell test and later passes it to eval, which executes embedded command substitution. An administrator web session and network access to the management interface are required; successful exploitation grants UID 0 command execution.
