CVE-2026-18790Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Client crash via unchecked response result count

Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Systerel S2OPC 1.7.0 through 1.7.3 allows local users to crash client-wrapper applications. LockedStaMac_ProcessMsg_DeleteMonitoredItemsResponse uses server-controlled NoOfResults as a loop bound to index the saved MonitoredItemIds array without checking that the response and request counts match. The CNA describes local access as required, while the PoC demonstrates network-path reachability from a malicious server or man-in-the-middle attacker; the demonstrated consequence is a client-process abort.
