CVE-2026-18787Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via newline-injected rule ID

Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026

Command injection in GL.iNet AX1800 firmware 4.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary shell commands. The parental-control remove_rule handler concatenates args.id into two os.execute file-removal commands after a generic validator permits embedded newlines. A valid RPC session is required; successful injection can run a downloaded script and compromise the router's data, configuration, and availability.
