CVE-2026-1876Network attack vector

Persistent service interruption via UDP receive-buffer exhaustion

Published Mar 3, 2026 · Updated Mar 3, 2026

Resource-release failure in all Mitsubishi Electric FX5-ENET/IP versions allows remote attackers to interrupt service with continuous UDP traffic. The Ethernet function fails to release receive-buffer resources while processing sustained UDP packets, causing uncontrolled buffer consumption. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the module remains unavailable until the affected control system is reset.
