Cross-user query corruption via stored-value code injection
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Code injection in affected MongoDB Server releases allows remote authenticated users to corrupt other users' query results. The JavaScript scripting engine executes code from a crafted stored value when an internal maintenance cycle processes it. Write privileges are required, and effects are limited to wrong query results or operation interruption in the same database and scripting sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0 <7.0.40
- Affected versionversion=8.0 <8.0.29
