CVE-2026-18676Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Admin credential disclosure via permissive loopback CORS

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

Origin validation errors in Kong Mesh kuma-cp allow remote attackers to obtain admin tokens and signing keys through a malicious webpage. The default CORS wildcard reflects any Origin, while localhostIsAdmin promotes loopback requests to mesh-system:admin and returns the admin JWT and signing material. Exploitation requires default settings, browser reachability to the control plane on the same machine, and an operator visiting attacker-controlled JavaScript.
