User-assisted code execution via project-local executable precedence
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Uncontrolled executable search in Amazon Web Services Kiro CLI before 2.10.0 allows remote attackers to execute code on Windows. Kiro CLI resolves a planted executable in an untrusted project directory before the matching executable on the system PATH, bypassing workspace trust protections. When a local user starts Kiro CLI in the crafted directory, the attacker gains code execution with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
