Cluster-admin escalation via overprivileged operator ClusterRole
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Privilege escalation in Red Hat OpenShift AI 3.3 allows attackers controlling a DSPO pod to gain cluster-admin privileges. The operator's ClusterRole grants its ServiceAccount unnecessary cluster-wide pods/exec access and CRUD over ClusterRoles and ClusterRoleBindings. Exploitation requires prior compromise of the DSPO pod; the granted rights expose cluster resources to command execution, reading, and modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
