CVE-2026-18605Public exploit

Local code execution via insecure temporary-file directory

Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026

Uncontrolled search path handling in CheckMAL AppCheck Pro 3.1.43.10 allows local users to execute code through its kernel driver. The AppCheckD.sys mini-filter driver creates a temporary file in a directory with insecure permissions, exposing its path handling to manipulation. Exploitation requires low local privileges and high-complexity preparation; successful execution compromises protected host data and service availability.
