CVE-2026-18567

Information disclosure via predictable socket-path race

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026

A TOCTOU race in IBM Db2 Mirror releases 7.4, 7.5, and 7.6 allows local users to obtain information through a predictable socket path. A process uses a predictable Unix-domain socket pathname in a world-writable directory, leaving the path replaceable between its check and use. Low-privileged local access is required; IBM has not disclosed the information exposed or the form of the associated service interruption.
