Reflected script execution via unescaped icn parameter
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Reflected cross-site scripting in WordPlus Better Messages 2.15.22 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts via the icn parameter. The inc/shortcodes.php output path inserts the request's icn value into page markup without adequate sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link, after which the script runs in the affected site's browser context and can read or alter page data.
